Bowling Green City Commissioner Brian “Slim” Nash is set to stand trial July 14 in a drunk driving case.
Nash’s attorney, Alan Simpson, said Tuesday the trial date in Warren District Court was set by agreement between him and Special Prosecutor Don Jones.
Nash was out of office when he was arrested in 2013 on the U.S. 31-W By-Pass by the Bowling Green Police Department on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and improper turning.
He was elected to the commission last year after a four-year absence.
According to an arrest citation, Nash reportedly failed standardized field sobriety tests and claimed to have consumed one beer.
Special Judge Derek Reed is presiding over the case.
