Man reports home invasion at Hilltop Club

Bowling Green police were called Monday to Hilltop Club apartments, 2426 Thoroughbred Lane, after a man said a gunman forced his way into his home.

The victim told police he had been sleeping when two people came inside the apartment. One of the men had a silver handgun that had an extended magazine attached to it, according to police records.

The victim said one of the men kicked open the door of his roommate’s bedroom and exited with a safe. Another roommate stepped out of his bedroom during the incident and was ordered onto the couch, records show. The first victim said the armed man struck him in the face with gun as he left the apartment.

Both victims said the intruders took their cellphones as they left.

Items stolen include two safes, a game system, shoes and cash.

Police confiscated drug paraphernalia found in one of the bedrooms.
