Hilltoppers drop road softball game at Jacksonville St.

Western Kentucky’s softball team saw its five-game winning streak end Wednesday with a 6-0 loss to Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Ala.
WKU (17-10) managed just three hits in the game, highlighted by shortstop Brittany Vaughn’s double.
The Hilltoppers’ Haylee Towers recorded her seventh complete game of the season in the circle, moving to 5-6 on the year with the loss. Towers finished the day with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
WKU will close mid-week spring break play on Thursday at Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Ala. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. CDT.
