Ex-Gator Dralle fans 10 in no-decision for Cairn

Cairn (Pa.) University sophomore right-handed pitcher Sam Dralle (Greenwood Class of 2015) ended up with a no-decision despite tossing six strong innings for the Highlanders in Wednesday’s 6-5 loss to Vassar in Auburndale, Fla.
Dralle started and pitched six innings for the Highlanders, finishing with a career-high 10 strikeouts. He allowed just three runs (one earned) on three hits and didn’t walk a batter.
Cairn (5-3) continues it’s Florida trip with a game Thursday against Framington (Mass.) State.

Campbellsville senior second baseman Brittany Rippy (Allen County-Scottsville Class of 2013) had a huge offensive day for the Tigers in Wednesday’s softball doubleheader sweep over visiting Union College.
After tallying a double and scoring a run in Campbellsville’s 10-4 win in the opener, Rippy piled up offensive numbers in the nightcap. She finished Game 2 with a 3-for-4 effort at the plate with a home run, a double and five RBIs.
Rippy also scored a pair of runs and stole a base in the Tigers’ 13-5 victory.
Campbellsville (13-7) is back in action Saturday for a doubleheader at Mid-South Conference rival Shawnee (Ohio) State.
