Mr. and Mrs. Gordon T. “Sonny” Haynes Jr. of Bowling Green celebrated their 60th anniversary on Feb. 4, 2017. They also attended a dinner celebration with their family on Jan. 28. 

Haynes and the former Betty Thomas were married by the Rev. Parrott on Feb. 4, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in Boca Raton, Fla.

They have three children, Susan Martin, Gordon Haynes III and J.T. Haynes, all of Bowling Green. They also have nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
