Man arrested after Lovers Lane crash

One man was arrested Tuesday after a crash at Lovers Lane and Cemetery Road.

Warren County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash call at 5 p.m. and determined that Harold Logsdon, 38, of Bowling Green, failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and entered into the path of a 2012 Nissan driven by Angel Morena, 37, of Bowling Green, according to a Warren County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Logsdon was making a right turn onto Cemetery Road from Lovers Lane when he collided with Morena’s vehicle, forcing it into a Toyota driven by Ariel Perry, 24, of Franklin.

Morena and a child passenger were transported to The Medical Center for treatment of what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Logsdon was transported to Greenview Regional Hospital for evaluation and then arrested.

Deputies said Logsdon refused to identify a passenger in his vehicle with whom he briefly fled the scene with before deputies arrived.

Logsdon was charged with leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance and second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension. He remained lodged Wednesday morning in the Warren County Regional Jail on $750 cash bond.

Arrest – A Bowling Green man was charged with felony drug possession Saturday.

Bowling Green police stopped J’Austin Flippin, 32, on Old Morgantown Road near Collegeview Drive. Police saw a small plastic bag with a green leafy substance that Flippin said was “spice,” also known as synthetic cannabinoid, according to police records.

When confronted about the bag, Flippin also told police he had methamphetamine inside the car. Police found suspected meth inside the car.

He was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of synthetic drugs first offense, according to Warren County Regional Jail records.

He was lodged in the county jail and posted bond Monday.

Thefts — Bowling Green police were called Tuesday to the 900 block of Captains Court where cars were broken into.

A purse and wedding ring set were stolen from one vehicle. Ammunition was stolen from another. Another car owner reported that his vehicle had been rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
