“Power Hour” is an after-school program where children receive an hour of homework assistance from high school and collegiate scholars. The program encourages young students to succeed in their academics and work to reach their full potential. An average of 100 children attend the program each day.

“Our organization relies on donations to be successful. We appreciate the support we receive from J. Marshall Hughes and others in the community. The $5,000 donation will help fund the Power Hour Program for an entire year,” Bruce White, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Butler County, said in a news release.

Hughes, a partner in Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, is an avid supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Butler County and one of the largest contributors since it originated nearly two decades ago, the release said.
