An employee of Dollar General, 5388 Scottsville Road, reported a break-in Saturday morning.
The employee arrived at about 5 a.m. to open the store and discovered that someone threw a rock through the front window and unlocked the door through the broken glass, according to Bowling Green Police Department records.
Two people entered the business. Surveillance imagery shows that one thief stole multiple bottles of beer. The second thief stole soda, candy, Slim Jim meat sticks and what appeared to be a small can of Pringles.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several similar cases that have occurred recently in which convenience stores were targeted and thieves stole alcohol and tobacco products, city police records show.
Burglary — Bowling Green police were called Friday to an apartment at 1020 Old Barren River Road where the resident said someone entered the home through a back window and removed children’s and women’s clothing.
A baby’s crib was also stolen, according to police records.
