WCHS grad Green helps Sycamores nearly cut down No. 13 Western Illinois

Indiana State redshirt sophomore defensive back Rondell Green (Warren Central Class of 2014) helped the visiting Sycamores nearly pull off an upset before ultimately falling 36-25 to FCS No. 13 Western Ilinois on Saturday in Macomb, Ill.
Green tallied second-quarter interception, snaring the ball at the Indiana State 3-yard line. Green also finished the game with five tackles, all solo, for the Sycamores.
Indiana State (3-3 overall, 1-2 in Missouri Valley Football Conference) is back in action Oct. 15 with a home game against South Dakota.

Lindsey Wilson senior running back Jalen Sublett (Glasgow Class of 2012) recorded his second straight 100-yard rushing performance in the Blue Raiders’ 41-27 road win Saturday over University of the Cumberlands.
Sublett finished with a team-high 103 rushing yards on 23 attempts. He also scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter to give Lindsey Wilson its first lead of the game. Sublett tallied TD runs of 6 and 3 yards.
Sublett added one reception for 25 yards for the Blue Raiders, ranked No. 7 nationally in NAIA. The team is off to the best start in program history.
Lindsey Wilson (7-0) visits Mid-South Conference rival Faulkner (Ala.) on Oct. 15.

Centre College junior quarterback Devin Hayes (Bowling Green Class of 2014) completed 20 of 29 passes for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Colonels to a 40-21 home win Saturday over Millsaps (Miss.).
Hayes also added three rushing yards in the win.
Centre sophomore running back Colin Burnam (Warren Central Class of 2015) finished with seven carries for 37 yards. He also made two special teams tackles, one a solo stop.
Centre (5-1 overall, 3-1 Southern Athletic Association) is back in action Oct. 22 at home against Sewanee.

Kentucky redshirt freshman linebacker Eli Brown (Warren East Class of 2015) recovered a fumble and had one tackle in the Wildcats’ 20-13 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington.
UK sophomore defensive tackle Adrian Middleton (South Warren Class of 2014) notched a solo tackle in the win over the Commodores.
Kentucky (3-3 overall, 2-2 SEC) is back in action Oct. 22 at home against SEC rival Mississippi State.

Eastern Kentucky redshirt senior defensive lineman LaJuan Smith (Glasgow Class of 2012) totaled three tackles – two solo – and forced a fumble in the Colonels’ 31-16 home win Saturday over Southeast Missouri State.
