Distinguished Young Women of Warren County program is Saturday

Ten high school seniors will compete at 7 p.m. Saturday at Warren East High School for the title of Distinguished Young Woman of Warren County 2017. The program was formerly called Warren County Junior Miss.
In addition to the title and the chance to take part in the Distinguished Young Women of Kentucky program, they will be vying for scholarships.
Tickets for the program are $5 for general admission and $12 for reserved seating. They can be purchased at the door.
In January, the Warren County winner will participate in the statewide program in Lexington. The state winner will travel to Mobile, Ala., in June to take part in the Distinguished Young Women of America program.
Participants and their schools include Bowling Green High School: Becca Counts and Amanda Harder; GEO International: Mary Mawi; Greenwood High School: Marlena Stokes; South Warren High School: Hannah Chalfant, Haley Ford, Remy Gaines and Meredith Wilson; and Warren East High School, Maria Aguirre and Kristen Hayes.
