Sheriff’s office finds 21 marijuana plants after witness reports suspicious activity

After a witness reported suspicious activity in the 1700 block of Garrett Hollow Road Monday morning, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies found fertilizer containers, water, 21 marijuana plants, potting soil and a shovel.

The witness reported seeing a white Nissan pull over, and a man exit the vehicle and enter the wood line. The driver continued down the road, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Robbery — A Glasgow man was charged with robbery Monday after a person living in the Eastbrook Trailer Park said the man forced his way into the trailer at knifepoint Sunday night.

The alleged victim identified Fernado Ramon Charmill, 44, 1104 Columbia Ave., as the robber, according to Charmill’s arrest citation. He was charged with second-degree robbery. Charmill was booked into the Barren County Detention Center on Monday, posted a $5,000 surety bond and was released.

Drug arrest — After a traffic stop Saturday in Glasgow, police officers there arrested the driver on allegations of drug trafficking.

Police stopped a car in the area of Wayne and Morgan streets in which Jeremy A. Depp, 37, 208 South Lewis Street, was a passenger.

A GPD officer noticed a smell of marijuana, according to Depp’s arrest citation. The officer asked Depp if he had any marijuana on him, and he produced a small bag of suspected marijuana. The driver, Natasha Depp, granted police consent to search the vehicle where they found one pound of synthetic marijuana, according to the citation.

Police also found 11 hydrocodone pills in Jeremy Depp’s pocket and $1,456 dollars cash, according to the citation. Jeremy Depp was charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, trafficking synthetic drugs and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.
