Russellville man picked up on warrant during traffic stop

A Russellville man wanted on drug charges was arrested after a traffic stop Saturday in Logan County.
Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyler Harvey saw Anthony Baird, 52, traveling west on U.S. 68 Saturday and knew that Baird had an active warrant for his arrest, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department. Harvey stopped Baird and took him into custody.
Baird is charged with cultivating five or more plants of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of a drug paraphernalia. The charges are the result of a warrant issued after a joint investigation by the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department last month, according to the release.
At the time of Baird’s arrest, Harvey said he found cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Baird. Baird was additionally charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.
Truck strikes house — Warren County sheriff’s deputies were called at 8:02 p.m. Saturday to Gott Hydro Road after a pickup truck struck an occupied house.
George Rollenhagen, 51, of Bowling Green, was traveling south on Gott Hydro Road when he rounded a curve, causing the truck to drop off of the right shoulder in the 6000 block of the road, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The truck then struck a home at 6006 Gott Hydro Road.
Rollenhagen was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (aggravated) and failure to produce an insurance card, according to the release. He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail early Sunday morning and released about 3 1/2 hours later on a $658.85 bond, according to online jail records.
