Mr. Malcolm Monroe Ray

Mr. Malcolm Monroe Ray, 76, of Trenton, passed away at 10:28 p.m. June 15, 2016, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trenton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 27, 1939, the son of the late Malcolm Everett Ray and Pauline Monroe Ray. Mr. Ray was retired from Kentucky Employment Services, was the former owner operator of Ray’s Food Center in Trenton, and auctioneer and operator of Malcolm Ray’s Auction Sales. He had been the secretary and treasurer for more than 30 years of the Trenton Civic Club and the Trenton Community Chest, a member and past master of Bethel Lodge No. 207, and past mayor of Trenton, past president and board member of the Trenton Community Center and coached Little League and jr. pro football in Warren and Todd counties.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Jo Rutledge Ray, of Trenton; his son, Brian (Sharon) Monroe Ray of Bowling Green; his brother, Marion (Joni) Ray of Lakewood, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Bret Monroe Ray of Owensboro and Alec Layton Ray of Bowling Green.
