SKyPAC names chief development, outreach officer

William F. Skaggs has joined the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center as chief development and outreach officer.

Skaggs has diverse experience in higher education and financial services. Skaggs is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, holding a bachelor’s degree in music and an MBA.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the SKyPAC Foundation board and staff and supporters across southern Kentucky,” Skaggs said in a news release. “Together, we will further solidify SKyPAC’s significant position as a regional resource in arts education, performance and exhibition. The performing and visual arts have always been of importance to me, whether performing, learning or seeking to appreciate another perspective. I desire that same educational and cultural value for my children and their peers. Therefore, I couldn’t imagine a more fitting role to undertake each day.”

SKyPAC Foundation oversees the administration of SKyPAC and Capitol Arts Center facilities and programs.

Bowling Green coach inducted into Kentucky Gymnastics Hall of Fame

Coach Ray Rose of Bowling Green was inducted into the Kentucky Gymnastics Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport by the Kentucky USA Gymnastics Committee.

Rose, 85, taught gymnastics in Louisville and Bowling Green and coached the women’s gymnastics team at Western Kentucky University before retirement. He also coached the men’s tennis team at WKU.

Rose was nominated by former student, gymnast and coach Debbie Klotz of Prospect, who presented him with the award.

Chaudoin leads Stockton team

Stockton Mortgage Corp. is expanding operations with its latest branch.

SMC’s newest location is one of 15 full-service mortgage banks. Located off Campbell Lane at 1830 Destiney Lane, directly behind Love and Warden Eye Care, SMC offers a range of loan products and financing options.

The branch opened with mortgage banker Vicki Chaudoin leading the sales team.

Chaudoin is a licensed mortgage banker with 17 years of experience in lending. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, she is married with two children who attend Bowling Green High School.

“I am excited to be able to better assist my past clients whom it is a privilege to continually serve and to welcome new clients at this excellent new location,” Chaudoin said in a news release.

The branch is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours available by appointment.

Kirby Woman of the Year

Betty Kirby has been chosen Woman of the Year by the American Business Women’s Association, Cardinals of Kentucky Chapter.

The honor is based on contributions to education, the local chapter and community involvement.
