Local man appointed to standards board

A Bowling Green man was one of seven new members appointed by Gov. Matt Bevin to the Education Professional Standards Board.
David Graham of Bowling Green was appointed for a term that expires in September 2019. Graham is band director at Warren Central High School and teaches at Jackson Academy in Warren County.
The Education Professional Standards Board consists of 14 gubernatorial appointees, according to a news release from the governor. The board establishes standards and requirements for obtaining and maintaining a teaching certificate in Kentucky and also sets forth the guidelines and standards for the programs that prepare individuals for becoming teachers and professional school personnel.
