Hot Rods even series with Peoria

The Bowling Green Hot Rods used a pair of long balls to even the series against Peoria (Ill.) with a 4-2 victory on Tuesday at Dozer Park in Peoria.
Michael Russell hit a game tying two-run homer in the sixth, while Kevin Padlo added a game-winning two-run homer in the seventh.

Padlo had three hits and two walks to lead the offense, while Jake Cronenworth had a hit and a run scored.
Taylor Hawkins tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the first win of his professional career, while Tyler Brashears tossed two scoreless innings to earn his first save of the season.
Bowling Green and Peoria was scheduled to play the rubber match at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with a battle of right-handers – Henry Centeno (2-0 0.78) for the Hot Rods and Sandy Alcantara (3-0, 2.86) for Peoria.
