Several former area standouts earn Academic All-Mid South Conference honors

A number of former area softball and baseball standouts have earned 2016 Academic All-Mid-South Conference honors.

In order to be nominated by a school, student-athletes musth maintain a minimum grade point average of 32.5 on a 4.0 scale and have reached at least sophomore academic status.

Among those named to the Academic All-MSC softball team were Campbellsville redshirt sophomore Brittany Rippy (Allen County-Scottsville Class of 2013), Campbellsville senior Shelby Ray (Glasgow Class of 2012) and Lindsey Wilson sophomore Amy Rogers (Butler County Class of 2014).

Included on the Academic All-MSC baseball team were Lindsey Wilson senior Ryan Harper (Logan County Class of 2012) and Shawnee State (Ohio) redshirt sophomore Andrew Vanthournout (South Warren Class of 2013).
