Hot Rods fall at Great Lakes

The Bowling Green Hot Rods finished its seven game road trip 3-4 after a 5-2 loss at Great Lakes (Mich.) on Sunday.

Great Lakes took control with a four-run sixth inning off Bowling Green reliever Taylor Hawkins to salvage a split in the four-game series.

Angel Moreno had two hits for Bowling Green (8-10), while Jake Cronenworth and Brett Sullivan had an RBI each for the Hot Rods.

Bowling Green will be off on Monday before opening a three-game series with Clinton (Iowa) on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m., the start of a six-game home stand.

Jose Mujica (2-1, 3.68) will make the start for the Hot Rods against Clinton right-hander Kyle Wilcox (0-0, 5.40).
