Whitehouse helps Midway finish second on first day of KIAC women’s golf championship

Midway College sophomore Kelsey Whitehouse (South Warren Class of 2014) helped her team to a second-place showing on the first day of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s golf championship on Friday at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown.
Whitehouse fired a 17-over 89 and is currently in 12th place in the two-day tournament, which concludes today.
Midway fired a combine 47-over 335 on the par 72, 5,819-Cherry Blossom course. Brescia is the leader after Day one with a combined 329, six shots ahead.

University of the Cumberlands junior men’s tennis player Kenny Wilson (South Warren Class of 2013) has been named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Men’s Tennis team.
In order to be nominated, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grad point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale as have attained at least sophomore academic status.
