Russellville man charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment

A Russellville man is accused of assaulting another person Friday night in a home on Iroquois Circle.
Russellville police officers responded to a home on Iroquois Circle, in reference to an open 911 line, according to a news release from the Russellville Police Department. Upon arrival at the residence, officers heard yelling and entered the home. Once inside, officers found Russell Scott, 35, who officers said was yelling threats at two other residents, according to the release.
A unnamed man was taken to Logan Memorial Hospital for treatment. A woman in the home was not injured.
Scott was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and menacing. Scott is in the Logan County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.
Injury wreck — Russellville police were called to a two-vehicle collision with injuries at the Bowling Green Road and Franklin Road intersection at 11:40 a.m. Friday.
A white 2004 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Robert Wilson of Russellville, was traveling west on Bowling Green Road and was attempting to turn left onto Franklin Road when he turned into the path of a 2008 Honda Civic, driven by Luis Cruz Moto of Auburn, causing the front end of the Honda to strike the right side of the Chevrolet, according to a release from RPD. Both vehicles contained numerous passengers, including a woman in the Honda who sustained injuries. The woman was taken to The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
