Cline posts four-RBI day for Kentucky Wesleyan in baseball win

Kentucky Wesleyan senior Jeremy Cline (Warren Central Class of 2011) tallied for runs batted in for the Panthers in Tuesday’s 13-7 non-conference baseball victory against visiting Southern Indiana at Panther Park.
Cline, serving as KWC’s designated hitter, was 3 for 4 at the plate. He had an RBI single in the first inning, a solo home run in the bottom of the third, and a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Kentucky Wesleyan (22-10) is back in action Friday with a doubleheader at Oakland City (Ind.) University.

Centre College junior Trevor Brewer (Greenwood Class of 2013) had a solid day at the plate in an otherwise forgettable game for the visiting Colonels on Tuesday against Maryville (Tenn.).
Brewer, playing first base, was 2 for 4 at the plate with two RBIs in Centre’s 17-5 non-conference loss.
Centre (16-21) is back in action Saturday with a doubleheader at Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee (Tenn.).

Shawnee State sophomore infielder Andrew Vanthournout (South Warren Class of 2013) chipped in at the plate in both ends of a doubleheader against host Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) on Tuesday.
In a 2-1 loss in the opener, Vanthournout was 1 for 3 with a run scored and a stolen base. In a 5-4 loss in the nightcap, Vanthournout drove in two runs for Shawnee State.
Shawnee State (17-26) is back in action Friday with a doubleheader at Mid-South Conference rival Lindsey Wilson.
