Senior guard Cody Stumbo (South Warren Class of 2011) scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, but Alice Lloyd College’s bid to win the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament fell short with a 79-69 loss to Cincinnati Christian in Tuesday’s championship game at the Grady Nutt Athletic Center in Pippa Passes.
Stumbo, who was selected to the All-KIAC Men’s Basketball Second Team last week as a guard, also had a steal in the loss.
A win would have locked up an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament.
Instead, Alice Lloyd (18-12) will wait to find out who it will play in next week’s National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Mid-Eastern Regional Championship.
