Western Kentucky quarterback Reese Ryan has left the program, the school confirmed Wednesday.

Ryan was absent from WKU’s updated spring roster posted Wednesday.

The 6-foot-2 product of Lexington Catholic High School was a walk-on freshman in 2015 but was expected to be a candidate for a scholarship in the future.

He was set to be one of five WKU quarterbacks competing for the Hilltoppers’ vacant starting position this spring.

Instead, Mike White, Tyler Ferguson, Nelson Fishback and Drew Eckels will be WKU’s quarterbacks this spring. Incoming freshman Steven Duncan will join the team for fall camp.
