Rebecca Stone is the new executive vice president/chief operations officer at Service One Credit Union in Bowling Green.

Stone succeeds Leah Eckley, who retired after 36 years of service. Stone began her new role on Nov. 30, 2015.

“The Service One family is excited to welcome Rebecca aboard our team,” Garth Griese, Service One CU president/chief executive officer, said in a news release. “Rebecca has a great deal of financial and business knowledge, and we have the utmost confidence that she will help us bring a successful future to Service One.”

Stone has relocated from Corpus Christi, Texas, where she was an executive vice president and chief funding officer for Kleberg Bank. She has more than 25 years of financial institution experience in operations, product development and service delivery. Stone has also taught in a community college setting and has extensive knowledge of mortgage and business lending.

Service One Credit Union was founded in 1963 by Western Kentucky University faculty and staff as a not-for-profit financial cooperative, 

Service One now serves the 10 counties in the Barren River region.
