Linda Carole Vickers

Linda Carole Vickers, 69, of Owensboro died in the home of her sister, Janet Metzger, in Franklin at 8 a.m. Nov. 26, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Vickers Jr. and the late Winnie (Westerfield) Vickers. She is survived by her sister, Janet Metzger (Bill) of Franklin; a brother, Larry Vickers (Lorena) of Henderson, Nev.; two nephews, Benjamin Metzger of Denver and Luke Metzger of Bowling Green; a niece, Julianne Copeland (Jady) of New York; and a great-niece, Rosie Jane Copeland.

Ms. Vickers was an alumni of Western Kentucky University, where she earned her master’s degree in education. She loved teaching and she loved people, especially children. She also worked for many years as an office manager for Grandy & Associates in Owensboro. She was a faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ in Bowling Green.

A memorial service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to service time.
