Gresham was found dead Saturday morning after the Glasgow Fire Department responded to the fire at 8:36 a.m. Firefighters found the body in the living room.

The Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, but it is not being investigated as suspicious, according to the GFD.

Burglaries — The Bowling Green Police Department responded to several burglaries recently, including the second-degree burglary of a construction site reported Nov. 23.

That burglary involved the theft of appliances valued at $1,977.74 from a house under construction in the 800 block of Denzil Avenue. Contractor Matt Williams of M & H LLC said he learned the items were missing from a Realtor showing the house Nov. 20.

The front door showed no signs of forced entry, although it could have been unlocked or the intruder may have known the passcode, Williams said. Items were taken from the kitchen through a hall attached to the garage and include a Frigidaire dishwasher and microwave, a refrigerator, an oven, a black extension cord and hardware from the cabinet doors, according to a city police report.

On Thursday, BGPD also responded to the second-degree burglary of a white Sony Vaio laptop and a pair of black headphones, together valued at $750.

Police responded to the 500 block of East Seventh Avenue, where the resident said his $500 laptop and $250 pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones were stolen Wednesday night. The man said the burglary could have occurred between 10 p.m. and midnight while no one was in the house.

On Sunday, BGPD also responded to a first-degree burglary that involved a suspect kicking in the front door of a residence in the 1300 block of College Street, taking guns, ammunition, electronics, textbooks and medication. The resident told police the burglary happened while he was on vacation between Nov. 23 and Sunday. The man said he was missing four rifles, two pistols and 1,000 rounds of ammunition along with the other stolen items, altogether valued at $4,420, according to a police report.
