The leg injury to Western Kentucky running back Leon Allen drew most of the attention Thursday, but coach Jeff Brohm also said after a 41-38 win over Louisiana Tech that the Hilltoppers could be without cornerback Wonderful Terry’s services for a while.
The senior starter Terry left the game in the first quarter with the lingering effects of what Brohm said he thinks is a high ankle sprain.

Terry injured the ankle last week against Vanderbilt and tried to practice at the tail end of this week, Brohm said. He finished Thursday’s game with one tackle.
“I don’t know how long he’ll be out,” Brohm said. “It may be a little while as well, so other guys have to step up, which they did, and played a lot against a spread team. We’ll just have to get the other younger guys ready and put them in the rotation.”
Redshirt senior receiver Jared Dangerfield played a larger role this week after nursing a hamstring injury for the last three weeks. Dangerfield had four catches for 44 yards.
Senior linebacker Dejon Brown played as a reserve and recorded two tackles. Brown missed the Vandy game and much of fall camp with a knee injury.
Redshirt junior offensive lineman Joe Manley, who played at Vanderbilt as a reserve after a minor injury leading up to the game, started at right guard against Louisiana Tech.
