Alvaton, Gott Depts. graduate 7 firefighters

- The Alvaton Fire Department will add Stacey Baack and Ashley Lindsey, firefighters and EMTs, and firefighters Nick Howell, Eric Thomason and Nick Wheeler. The Gott Fire Department will add firefighters Justin Martin and Ryan Penrose.
Alvaton and Gott Fire Departments will graduate seven new firefighters at 2 p.m. today at the Warren County Courthouse, 429 E. 10th Ave.

“They’ve done a great job,” Alvaton Fire Department chief Brad Harper said. “They’re a bunch of outstanding men and women that have been through a lot of training. We’re ready to get them out there to do their job.”
The men and women of Recruit Class No. 5 went through six months of firefighter basic training with more than 230 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction. All are certified Kentucky Firefighters and have tested for the National Certified Firefighter Certification.
The Alvaton Fire Department is always looking for volunteers.
