HILLTOPPER FOCUS: WKU’s Harper, Shumate begin second evaluation period watching top target Quentin Goodin

No surprise here: Western Kentucky began its time in the second week of the July evaluation period watching main target Quentin Goodin.
WKU head coach Ray Harper and assistant coach Chris Shumate watched the four-star guard play Wednesday in the adidas Uprising All-American Camp at Long Island University Post Campus in Brookville, N.Y.

The three-day event involves more than 80 of the top high school players in the nation, competing through a mix of skill and development drills and game play.
Goodin, who’s playing on Team Wiggins, is ranked 71st in the nation in the 2016 class by Rivals. He’s narrowed his college choices to WKU, Xavier, Miami, Michigan and Florida.
Harper and Shumate watched the 6-foot-3 guard frequently last week during the first July evaluation period as his Indiana Elite AAU squad competed in the adidas Gauntlet Series Finale in the Atlanta area.
