EVINE Live, a digital commerce company, celebrated the grand opening of its expanded distribution and call center in Bowling Green this afternoon.
The expansion project, which began in mid-2014, includes the addition of more than 300,000 square feet, bringing the company’s Nashville Road facility to 600,000 square feet, and the installation of a new warehouse management system that will improve the ordering and shipping process. Over the next three years, the project will mean an investment of $25 million and creation of up to 150 new, full-time positions, bringing EVINE Live’s total number of employees in Bowling Green to more than 500.
EVINE Live’s distribution and call center has been in Bowling Green since 1997, having most recently been known as Shop NBC. The expansion project, which was built by Scott, Murphy & Daniel, will have a total economic impact of more than $100 million over the next 10 years.
“I am thrilled to be here in Bowling Green today to celebrate the grand opening of our new facility,” Mark Bozek, CEO of EVINE Live, said in a news release. “This expansion project will further our company’s growth initiatives while providing a superior customer experience through the use of new tools and resources. The support we’ve received from the community, Bowling Green Chamber and local officials has been invaluable and I look forward to many more years calling South Central Kentucky our home.”
