Western Kentucky senior Miranda Kramer was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Year and Newcomer of the Year on Wednesday, while the Lady Toppers’ Amy Tudor was named Coach of the Year.

Kramer ranks first in the nation in total strikeouts (366), first in strikeouts per seven innings (12.9), second in total shutouts (12) and second in ERA (0.84). In league play, she went 11-3 and struck out a C-USA single-season record 180 batters.

The transfer senior earned three national awards, including two ESPNW Player of the Week honors, making her the only player in the history of the award to receive it twice.

Tudor guided WKU to the C-USA regular-season championship and the No. 1 overall seed in the Conference USA Tournament in the program’s first year in the league.

Kramer and WKU senior outfielder Larissa Franklin were named to the all-conference first team, while senior catcher Dani Pugh earned second-team honors. Carleigh Chaumont made the all-freshman team.
