Police seize $1M in crystal meth, again

For the second time in less than a month, Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations-West seized about $1 million in crystal methamphetamine.
Investigators executed a search warrant at 221 Stillhouse Bend Lane in Central City about 3 p.m. Saturday. The warrant was related to an investigation between KSP, Arkansas State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration, according to a news release from KSP.
Police seized about 23 pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine and found more than $20,000 cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug trafficking, according to the release. The estimated street value of the crystal meth was $1,000,000.
Police arrested Jackie L. Higgs, 44; Jimmy C. Jackson, 73; and Jamie Gregory, 35, all of Central City, and James D. Lamar, 51, of Evansville, Ind. Each is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), according to the release. They were jailed in Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Bond information was unavailable.
The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
In a separate investigation, police seized 20 pounds of suspected crystal meth Feb. 24 in Allensville, which resulted in four arrests.
Drug arrest —A Bowling Green woman faces multiple charges in Logan County after sheriff’s deputies there initiated a traffic stop.
On March 2, deputies stopped Casey L. Sellars, 33, 1213 High St., on an allegation that she was traveling 83 mph in a 65 mph zone on U.S. 68 in Auburn, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies searched her vehicle and found illegal drugs and paraphernalia, according to the release. Sellars was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
Deputies also served an active Warren County warrant on Sellars on a charge of flagrant nonsupport. She is in Logan County Detention Center in lieu of $10,825 bond.
