Several local businesses are included in a list of the state’s best places to work.

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management announced Tuesday the winners of the 11th annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards. Companies were divided into small, medium and large – 15 to 149 employees, 150 to 499 employees and 500 employees or more, respectively, according to a news release from the state chamber.

The list includes Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac and Van Meter Insurance Group in Bowling Green, as well as Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in Bowling Green and Glasgow and ARGI Financial Group in Bowling Green and Louisville. Hosparus Inc. of Louisville, with offices in Bowling Green, is also listed.

Leachman and ARGI are listed in the small company category. SKYCTC, Van Meter and Hosparus are listed in the medium company category.

The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey, according to the release.

All four were also listed in 2014 in the same size categories, according to last year’s list of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky.

The rankings will be announced at an awards dinner in April at Heritage Hall in the Lexington Convention Center.
