Western Kentucky coach Ray Harper made a recruiting double dip last week to see two targets, including one in the 2015 class.
Ballard senior guard Jalen Perry told me Harper was at his game Jan. 9 against Waggener, which Ballard won 80-68.

Perry, a 6-foot-3 guard, is averaging 23.1 points per game for the Bruins, who improved to 15-2 on Friday.
Perry doesn’t have an offer from WKU but said he’s had interest. He’s being recruited by Tops assistant Shawn Forrest.
Last week’s game also gave Harper a chance to watch Waggener 2017 guard Devon Cooper, who picked up an offer from WKU in late December, according to Scout’s Evan Daniels.
Cooper – a 6-1 sophomore who’s rated a three-star prospect by Scout – is averaging 17 points per game.
Young eligible at Apollo
Trace Young, a 2017 forward with an offer from WKU, was ruled eligible this week to play for Owensboro Apollo after his transfer from Ohio County.

Young averaged 18.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in three games for Ohio County this year before he transferred in December.
Friday night’s game against Owensboro Catholic was his first chance to take the court with Apollo. He’s now teammates with AHS 2016 guard Eli Wright, whose offer list includes the Hilltoppers.
The 6-foot-8, 185-pound Young has offers from WKU, Samford, Wright State and Morehead State.
He visited Bowling Green for WKU’s victory over then-No. 25 Old Dominion and said he enjoyed his time at Diddle Arena, calling it a “huge win.”
