Ellen Suddreth Linder, 91, of Bowling Green, died at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 27, 2014, at Chandler Memory Care and Assisted Living.
She was born in North Little Rock, Ark., on March 10, 1923, to the late David Theodore and Mary Lou Cooper Suddreth. She is the widow of Bernard Westbrook Linder of 62 years. She is also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Linder; brothers, Neal, David and Eddie Suddreth; and a sister, Louise Suddreth Harper. Ellen Linder was an avid volunteer all her life. Most recently, she served as a volunteer for Greenview Hospital; Britthaven/Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center; B.G. Free Clinic and the Historical Rail Museum at the Depot. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Church Women of Christ Church and LARTHS Literary Club of Bowling Green.
She is survived by a son, Mark A. Linder, and a daughter-in-law, Patricia, of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Chris Linder (Gabriela) of Derwood, Md., and Ben Linder (Valerie) of Seattle; a granddaughter, Ellen Linder Henry (Charlie) of Orange Beach, Ala.; and five great-grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Lauren and Molly Henry, and Lucas Deccan Linder.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Episcopal Church in the Moore Hall, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the Fort Smith Arkansas National Cemetery at a later date.
