ACS rallies to beat Monroe County 40-21

The Allen County-Scottsville football team outscored Monroe County by 20 in the fourth quarter Saturday, rallying for a 40-21 victory in the regular-season finale at MCHS.

Monroe County (2-8) led 21-20 going to the fourth quarter, but ACS (4-6) got two rushing touchdowns from Jaylon McPeak and one from Ty Mutter in the final frame.

Mutter rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, while McPeak ran for 112 yards and three TDs. Colton Oakes also had a rushing score.

Quarterback Jessie Bow was 4 of 5 passing for 92 yards. The Patriots recorded four interceptions on defense, including two by Jordan Napier.

ACS visits Madisonville-North Hopkins on Friday in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs.
