Two men were injured Wednesday during a robbery in the 1300 block of Kentucky Street, and one of the victims denied police consent to search his home where the robbery took place.

Broderick Farley, 21, 1375 Kentucky St., No. 2, and Amar Fejzic, 21, 615 Aberdeen Court, were both bleeding and disoriented upon police arrival, according to Bowling Green Police Department records.

Farley told police Fejzic was dropping him off from work because he does not have a car when two white men approached and asked to use a cellphone. One of the men was muscular and wearing a white T-shirt. The other suspect was taller, thin and wearing a gray sweatshirt or T-shirt. Farley told the men “no” because he was in hurry to complete a test for a health class. He did not see the two men follow him to his front door.

The two men waited until Farley unlocked the door and pushed Farley and Fejzic into the home, records show. Farley was pushed down as one of the robbers went to a specific room in the back of the home. The robbers asked Farley for his cellphone and wallet. He told them “no” as he attempted to get up. The bigger man then brandished a gun.

Farley told police he was assaulted with the handgun and another weapon.

He was struck several times on the head before the robbers left with his wallet, which contained his Social Security card, driver’s license and $50 to $100, records show.

Police declined to release what type of other weapon was used in the assault.

Fejzic also was assaulted, Officer David Grimsley said. His injuries were minor, and he declined treatment.

Farley was treated at The Medical Center and had lacerations that required staples, according to police. His left ear was so disfigured by the assault that it required attention from a plastic surgeon, and he was referred to Nashville for that procedure.

Police asked Farley for permission to search his home to process the crime scene, Grimsley said. Farley denied consent.

Police obtained a search warrant for the home and executed the warrant, according to police records.

Police declined to comment about the search.

No arrests have been made. The investigation remains open.
