Dr. Felty Colwell

Dr. Felty Colwell, 80, of Scottsville, died Aug. 10, 2014, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
The Smithville, Tenn., native was the son of the late C.D. Colwell and Edna Certain Colwell. He was a chiropractor in Scottsville for 34 years, enjoyed farming for much of his life and was a member of the Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sarah Inglis Colwell; a son, Dr. Blake Colwell of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Michelle Fane and husband, Dr. Bruce Fane, of Bowling Green and Stephanie Gillam of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Meredith and Chandler Fane and Savannah and Nicholas Gillam, all of Bowling Green; brother Dr. Frank Colwell of Smithville, Tenn.; two sisters, Charlene Pipkin of Lafayette, Tenn., and Rose Dillen of Smithville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and the American Red Cross.
