Lena Mae Christine Hamrick, 82, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Jan. 31, 2014.

A native of Lexington, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William and Eula Goff Barker. She is preceded in death by her sister, Lavern Arron; a son, Billy Barker; a daughter, Florence Jones; and three brothers, William, Bill and Charles Barker.

Christine is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lewis Hamrick; a daughter, Donna Burch (Dwayne) of Bowling Green; two sons, Larry Lumsden (Kim) of Pegram, Tenn., and David Lumsden (Piper) of Saginaw, Minn.; two stepsons, Michael Hamrick (Patty) of Kansas City, Mo., and Larry Hamrick (Paula) of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Elizabeth Forbes of McCleary, Wash., and Hazel Martin of Arnold, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Christine was a member of Christian Life Center Church and was a homemaker. She loved gardening, decorating and was never far from Lewis’ side. There was such a great love between Lewis and Christine and she will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
