A Tennessee football fan page on Facebook, Rocky Top Blitz, posted today an implication that Western Kentucky football players could be connected in someway to the murder of Larry Thomas.

I’ve been told that no Hilltopper is currently in any trouble with authorities at this time, nor have any been suspended for Saturday’s game in Knoxville.

The UT fan page claims, “Two WKU football players were asked to come speak with the Bowling Green PD about the murder of another WKU student that took place Monday night. When they didn’t show for their interview on Tuesday, detectives showed up at Petrinos office at 6 am yesterday morning. Names of the playets have not been released. JM” and “If we weren’t playing WKU this week I honstly would not. care. JM” and “Wally I trust my source. Take it how you want.” and ”David Draper, Chad Bishop doesn’t know what I know. I couldn’t care less what he says or thinks.”

In a post that has since been deleted, Rocky Top Blitz wrote, “I have family and friends that work for the BGPD.

Is it out of the question that Thomas knew members of the WKU football team? No. Is it out of the question members of the WKU football team were questioned by Bowling Green police OR have been requested to do so regarding the murder of Thomas? No. But neither of those questions have been answered at this time in any official manner.

As soon as (and if) I find out anything further, I will let you know.
