Minority Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Louisville, and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Bowling Green, made appearances together in Warren and surrounding counties today, speaking on issues ranging from health care to foreign aid.
Speaking to a group of employees at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green this morning, McConnell said the Affordable Care Act, also dubbed Obamacare, was the wrong approach to addressing the country’s health care problems.
While a “scalpel” approach was needed, “instead we took a meat axe to the whole American medical system,” he said.
The senators also spoke at the Center for Courageous Kids in Scottsville, where they took on issues including foreign aid and restrictions on the coal industry.
