Wilbur R. Sprouse Jr., 83, of Bowling Green, passed away June 15, 2013, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. Wilbur was born in Louisville on May 10, 1930. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Denton Sprouse; his parents, Wilbur R. Sprouse Sr. and Buelah Belcher Sprouse; a sister, Ruth Ann Condra; and a brother, Richard Sprouse.

Wilbur was a retired supervisor of South Central Bell and a member of First Baptist Church, Victory Sunday school class at First Baptist, the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include two sons, Robert D. Sprouse (Coral) and Jonathan W. Sprouse, both of Bowling Green; a daughter, Cynthia D.S. Mason (Robert E.) of Richardsville; a sister, Patti Johnson (Terry); two brothers, Russell Sprouse (Roberta) and Larry Sprouse (Cynthia), all of Bowling Green; a grandson, Ryan D. Sprouse (Elaine) of Chico, Calif.; a great-grandchild, Calvin E. Sprouse of Chico; beloved companion Earline Christian Clark of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with visitation from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
