Richard Henry Zorn, a sensational 65, of Bowling Green, flummoxed everyone when he left this earth to explore the realms of the heavenly places, May 11, 2013.

Rick was born April 27, 1948, in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, to the late Ernest and Lydia Zorn. He married Peggy Ramey of Garland, Texas, in 1973. By God’s grace, they rambled through 40 years of marriage in two countries! Rick took delight in raising two children and receiving the blessing of grandchildren. A daughter, Lana, and her husband, JonDavid Partain, live in Missoula, Mont., with three children, Cole, Miles and McKenna. A son, Phil Zorn, and his wife, Krystal, live in Auburn with two sons, Andy and Ezra. A granddaughter, Tuesday Wheeler, lives in Greenwood, Ark.

Rick also left behind three siblings, Gary and Barb Zorn of Priddis, Alberta, Ray and Carrie Zorn of Folsom, Calif., and Kathy and Rob Phipps of Colorado Springs, Colo. Others missing his magnanimous ways are in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors scattered from Northwest Territories to Texas and California to Kentucky.

Rick will be kindly remembered for the pride in his work at Southern Recycling, the stories and songs he occasionally shared at Alvaton Church of Christ, the interest and ease with which he could talk with others in the community, and his capricious sense of humor.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alvaton Church of Christ. You are invited to share in the celebration of his life with your favorite “Rick story.”

Rick loved flowers, bushes and his ever-expanding gardens, but his generous spirit would prefer expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to Potter Children’s Home and Family Ministries at www.potterministries.org/donation-forms.asp.
