William Albert Haley

William Albert Haley, 75, was called to rest May 3, 2013. He was a retired home builder for more than 40 years, a respected community leader, past president of the Builders Association of Southern KY and served on the Board of Adjustments. He was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church in the Rockfield community. He loved to ride horses, play golf, attend family gatherings and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving friend to many.

He was preceded in death by parents Pete and Katherine (Powell) Haley and a son, William Albert Haley Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Ann (Gaines) Haley; two daughters, Diane (Richard) Oates and Donna (Tim) Minnicks; three sons, Mark (Teresa), Kevin (Tabatha) and Chad (Danielle) Haley; all of Rockfield; 11 grandchildren and their spouses and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Haley; two brothers, Ricky and Larry (Cindy) Haley; and several nieces and nephews.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Cancer Research Center.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and Monday. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow at Felts Cemetery in Logan County.
