Hilltoppers arrive for NCAA Tournament game

    The Western Kentucky men’s basketball team arrived at the Sprint Center on Friday prior to its second round NCAA Tournament game against Kansas and after a small pep rally at its team hotel.

    The contest is scheduled for approximately 8:50 p.m. tonight, televised live on TNT.

    Players, coaches and members of the team staff were greeted by a small group of fans, cheerleaders and members of the band as they made their way from their rooms to the team bus.

    The Hilltoppers (20-15) are heavy underdogs against No. 1 seed KU (29-5). A 16 seed has never defeated a No. 1, going 0-115 all-time in the tournament.
