SKY Swim Club competes in Versailles

The Southern Kentucky Swim Club competed last weekend in the 8 and Under Spectacular in Versailles.
Six-year-old Parker Fields led the team with four individual wins in the 25-yard butterfly, 25 backstroke, 25 freestyle and 50 free.
Ryan Watt, who was competing in the same age group, won the 25 breaststroke, and Maggie Morris won the 50 free in the girls’ 7-year-old group.
Swimmers earning runner-up finishes were Watt (25 fly), Mackenzie Austin (50 fly, 100 individual medley), Niveidhan Praveen (50 fly, 50 breaststroke, 50 free) and Carlie Bowen (25 back).
Watt (25 free, 25 back), Bowen (25 free, 50 free) and Ella Farley (50 breaststroke, 100 free) finished third.
SKY also had three relay teams in the top five. The 8-and-under girls finished third in the 200 free relay and fourth in the 200 medley. Members of the team were Farley, Mackenzie Adams, Gabby Adams and Baker Hardison.
The 8-and-under boys finished fifth in the 200 free relay. Team members were Praveen, Landon Badstibner, Phillip Khenner and Shail Chhabra.
