Ewing Donald Graven, 77, of Smiths Grove, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.
A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Granville Ellis and Maude D. Witty Graven. He was a retired quality control inspector for DESA, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Smiths Grove Christian Church. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Ettie Lee; a daughter, Leann Graven Richards of Brownsville; a son, David Graven and his wife, Kathy, of Smiths Grove; three grandchildren, Bethany Richards and Natalee Logsdon (J.B.), all of Brownsville, and William Alexander Graven of Smiths Grove; a stepgrandson, Clinton Elmore (Julie) of Glasgow; a great-grandson, Bentley Richards; a brother, Ewell Graven (Louise) of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
