Hennessy Industries’ BADA wheel weight manufacturing facility in Bowling Green has been named a recipient of the inaugural General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for 2012.

“Receiving a quality award from anyone is an honor, but to receive it from General Motors is especially gratifying,” said Hennessy Industries’ vice president for marketing, Kevin Keefe. “The supplier standards they have put in place are some of the most stringent in the industry, reflecting a relentless focus on quality that we share with them.”

Only top-performing suppliers are eligible to win the award, according to Tom McMillen, General Motors’ executive director for supplier quality and program management.

“Suppliers that receive this award have met or exceeded a stringent set of quality performance criteria,” McMillen said. “We view product quality as the foundation for the overall customer experience. Our continued success is directly related to the performance and progress of our suppliers, as well as a shared commitment to quality.”

BADA has supplied General Motors with steel wheel weights for use in passenger vehicles since 2005.
