Joe D. Wilson

Joe D. Wilson, 80, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his residence.

The Warren County native was a son of the late Auvel Wilson and Agnes Wilson and husband of the late Faye Harrison Wilson and preceded in death by a sister, Doris Wilson Lewis, and loving companion, Peggy Bartolucci. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, a tree trimmer, an assembly worker at McDonnell Douglas, an inspector at Chrysler Corp., a member of American Legion Post 23, AARP and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his children, Joseph D. Wilson (Sandra), Steve Wilson (Linda), Sherie Baker (Brett), Jeannie King (John), Jim Wilson (Mary) and Joe Ed Wilson; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Billie Hudson; and two brothers, Darrel Wilson and Eugene Wilson.

Memorial service is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
