Starting as The Secret in Bowling Green, most members were still in high school when the band began. They featured original rock and played a variety of shows in the Nashville, Knoxville, Louisville, St. Louis area including the prestigious South by Southwest. They often shared the stage with acts as American Bang, Black Stone Cherry, The Features, Rufus Huff, Luna Halo, AutoVaughn, and Cage the Elephant. At their peak of popularity the Secret was featured on MTV’s My Sweet Sixteen and shortly thereafter changed their name to Von Guarde before disbanding.
